  • Calls for financial reforms have become increasingly urgent as we continue to search for ways to ensure the stability of our financial system. CNP President Scott Bates and the Chair of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, Phil Angelides, discuss the means to protect our economy from reckless financial practices, systemic shocks and inadequate oversight.

  • Although there are now competing sectors of power in Egypt, the outcome of its presidential elections will likely have a major impact on that country's domestic and foreign policies. The Center for National Policy hosted a panel of experts, moderated by CNP Senior Fellow for the Middle East, Gregory Aftandilian, for a discussion on how these elections will affect Egypt and the future of U.S.-Egyptian relations.

  • China's rapid expansion into new energy markets represents a critical international development at the nexus of politics, commerce, and security.
