On August 27, 2010, CNP publicly released its report on recommendations for the Congress and President about what steps need to be taken, right now, to bolster the resiliency of the residents of the Gulf Coast in advance of a major storm impacting the region during the cleanup of the BP oil spill. In the Newseum's Broadcast Studio in Washington, DC, Siobahn Gorman of the Wall Street Journal moderated a panel with Steve Flynn, President of CNP, Warren Edwards, Director of the Community and Regional Resilience Institute, and Scott McCallum, former Governor of Wisconsin and CEO of The Aidmatrix Foundation, discussing the report and taking questions from the audience.
