On her first official visit to Washington, President of the Republic of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga spoke on her support for strengthening the rule of law, the improvement of inter-ethnic relations and the creation of economic opportunity in Europe's newest nation. President Jahjaga highlighted her recent initiatives to create an Anti-Corruption Council and a Council for Integration in the European Union, themes that are marking her mandate as Kosovo's first female Head of State. The event was co-hosted by the Center for National Policy and the National Democratic Institute.
