Ryan Evans sat down at the India Club in London with Alexander Meleagrou-Hitchens and John Amble. Over gin-and-tonic and Famous Grouse (they didn't have Jameson), Ryan asked them about their field research in East Africa on Al Shabaab and Islamist militancy in East Africa. Alexander is a fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence and John Amble is one of the founders of Global Torchlight. Both are PhD Candidates at King's College London.
