A former federal prosecutor and
senior Congressional advisor, Jessica R.
Herrera-Flanigan has extensive experience in
national security, law enforcement,
immigration, sports, telecommunications,
Internet, diversity, and privacy issues. She
currently is a partner at the consultancy
Monument Policy Group. Previously, she served
as the Staff Director and General Counsel for
the House
Committee on Homeland Security and Senior
Counsel at the Computer
Crime & Intellectual Property Section,
Criminal Division, of the U.S. Department of
Justice. Jessica also was a Special
Assistant U.S. Attorney working on fraud and
public corruption cases in the U.S.
Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C. and
an associate at the law firm Crowell &
Morning. Jessica is on the Advisory Board of
the Homeland
Security and Defense Business Council and a
Member of the ABA
Standing Committee on Law & National
Security. She has been named three times
(2000, 2002, 2008) by Hispanic
Business magazine as one of the 100 Most
Influential Hispanics in the United States
because of her work on innovation and security
issues. She also has been honored by Women in Government
Relations with its Congressional Staff
Award and by the Women's
High Tech Coalition with a Women in
Cybersecurity Award.
