Anil Mammen is President of Mammen
Group, Inc. in Washington, DC. He is one of the
Democratic Party's leading authorities on
targeted campaign communications.
Over the past 20 years, his targeted advertising has helped elect dozens of members of Congress, including Congressman Gerry Connolly (VA‐11), Congressman Steny Hoyer (MD‐05), Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. (IL‐02), Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA‐11), Congressman Mike Michaud (ME‐02), Congressman John Olver (MA‐01), and Congresswomen Allyson Schwartz (PA‐ 13).
In addition to his work at the federal level, Mammen has also helped Democrats win critical state and local races in Arizona, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia. In 2010, he helped Mark Dayton win a highly competitive primary and general election campaign to become the first Democrat in 24 years to be elected Governor of Minnesota.
He is also a consultant to some of the nation's leading public interest groups and labor unions including AARP, the League of Conservation Voters, the Brady Campaign, the AFL‐CIO, American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees, National Education Association, Service Employees International Union, the United Food and Commercial Workers, and Teamsters.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Mammen worked on numerous campaigns and served for three years as Director of Direct Mail at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC). Mammen was raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania, graduated from the Lawrenceville School in New Jersey and Kenyon College in Ohio.
